This is a great non-fiction book explaining new inventions from ancient times to the present. Gerry Bailey starts one chapter by asking, "How can I jump safely?" and then goes on to explain air resistance. Mr. Bailey has published a series of books that make scientific concepts fun and easy to learn about. Some areas he covers are medicine, weapons, space, early civilizations, and many more time related inventions.
