A young boy tells about the work his grandpa does as a beeman in rhyming text. Grandpa dresses up his grandson and takes him out to the hives, describing the equipment he uses and talking about the different kinds of bees in the hive. After the honey is collected and bottled, they head home to enjoy some on muffins that Grandma makes. The last pages of the book include information about bees, beekeeping and honey.
