Recommended for grades K to 3.
	Fergus and the Night-Demon: An Irish Ghost Story by Jim Murphy Fergus O'Mara, a resourceful Irish lad, is especially clever at avoiding work. On his way to an evening of fun, he encounters the dreaded Night-Demon. Fergus keeps on walking, but this demon means business, and our hero will have to work hard to get himself out of a "grave" situation. Recommended for grades 2 to 4.
	Scarlett by Cathy Cassidy Troubled Scarlett is not the average 12-year-old Londoner- with her black fingernails and dyed ketchup-red hair. When she gets shipped off to her father's cottage in Ireland, she wants to leave until she meets Kian, a boy with rugged good looks, a kind nature, and a horse named Midnight. Recommended for grades 5 to 8.
	The New Policeman by Kate Thompson Who knows where the time goes? There is never enough of it in Kinvara, or anywhere else in Ireland for that matter. When J.J. Liddy's mother says that what she really wants for her birthday is more time in her day, J.J. decides to find her some. Winner of several British awards. Recommended for grades 6 to 9.
