A lovely depiction of three different families, told mainly through illustrations. One family is just a dad and his son. Another family is an adopted girl with two moms. Another family has parents of different ethnicities. The three families are friends, and their children grow up together. The simple, rhyming text talks about how each child touched the lives of their parents. The text doesn't talk at all about how the families are different. They all love their children the same. A very refreshing look at modern families that simply takes diversity for granted.
