Ed, Ned, Ted and Bob are dust bunnies who like to rhyme some of the time. While Ed, Ned, and Ted play rhyming games, Bob tries to warn them of impending danger, the vacuum cleaner! But the other dust bunnies are too busy rhyming to pay attention. This very silly book is a great introduction to rhyming and the humor will appeal to all ages. Jan Thomas's colorful and dramatic illustrations really add to the story.

You may remember singing "Over in the meadow in the sand in the sun lived an old mother fox and her little fox one, &.. ." This book takes place in the desert. The illustrations are very animated and there is a hidden numeral on each page corresponding to the number of animals. Some of them are easier to find than others. There is a glossary at the end of the text for the flora and fauna of the desert.

A train gets more and more crowded as animals get on at each stop. This is a great participatory book with the recurring phrase: "the little black train going down the track. Clickety clack, clickety clack." Everyone reading the book can say that phrase together on cue. This is a cumulative story with more passengers being added to the train at each stop. This one is lots of fun to read together.
