You should read this book because it's a good book. It's a good first book to read because it helps you count to ten and it helps you to learn.
The book teaches us about many things. It teaches us that animals need water and water helps animals and people to live. It teaches a lesson about caring for the environment, about animal habitats, and about different places and continents.

I learned there are many kinds of insect eating plants all over the world. Many places are in danger because humans are clearing the land for farming and housing. My favorite are Trigger traps, The Venus Flytrap works like this,an insect touches the trigger hair which causes it to snap shut! If the plant catches something bigger than what it can handle it will turn black and die.

We cross oceans to travel by plane or cruise ship. We get oil and food from oceans but we as people need to be careful not to harm the sea animals, polluting the water or over fishing. I learned in this book that ice floes are chucks of frozen seawater and Icebergs are huge blocks of freshwater that float in the sea. I also learned the North and the South Poles are the coldest places in the world some parts of the sea freeze into solid ice that's cold!

Jack is a courageous 11-year old boy in this haunting graphic novel set in Kansas at the height of the Dust Bowl in 1937. While his family struggles, Jack fights fantastical apparitions which make him wonder what is reality and what is "dust dementia." The Storm in the Barn is a compelling, tense tale where love triumphs hardship. Librarian review
