Dylan and his best friend Casey are really excited about their Boy Scout camping trip. They are going to a deserted beach underneath a volcano. The only trouble, a new scout named Louie. He has a bad attitude, and a personal grudge with Dylan. As the troop heads down the trail, Dylan's biggest concern is sharing such a small place with the annoying Louie. Then Dylan sees the dogs. Two strays far away from anyplace a dog should be. Tthe troop meets up with some old Hawaiin cowboys who tell them that one of the dogs is probably Pele, an ancient Hawaiian spirit. The dog is giving a warning of terrible danger. Soon, an earthquake and a tsunami give Dylan much more to worry about than Louie.
